5-LOXIN Advanced™ is a proprietary high-potency ingredient containing Indian Frankincense resin extract (Boswellia serrata) with 20% AKBA (acetyl-keto-beta-tannic acid) and non-volatile oils from the resin.

Indian frankincense resin extract (Boswellia serrata) contributes to the maintenance of normal joints and their mobility.

AKBA selectively reduces the biosynthesis of inflammatory mediators by suppressing the action of lipoxygenase, a key enzyme for the development of inflammation, and inhibits adhesion molecules directly involved in the inflammatory process.

Glucosamine Hydrochloride

Glucosamine is naturally produced in the body, but there are no major sources of this substance in the human diet. Glucosamine is an important structural component of joint tissue and the starting point for the synthesis of macromolecules (glycosaminoglycans, glycolipids and glycoproteins) found in synovial fluid, cartilage, ligaments and muscles.

Chondroitin Sulfate

Chondroitin is naturally present in the body and an important component of cartilage, the connective tissue inside the joints. As a strong anion, binding to cellular proteins, it attracts water to connective tissues and hydrates them.

MSM

Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) is a naturally occurring, sulfur-rich ingredient whose main role is to transport organic sulfur into body tissues. Sulfur, the third most abundant mineral in the body, is essential for life. It is a vital component of connective tissue, body fluids, bone structures, proteins and cellular antioxidants.

Sulfur from MSM is incorporated into the internal cell matrix; thus, it represents a source of raw material for the production of glycosaminoglycans and collagen.

Collagen

Naturally present in the body, collagen is the main component of connective tissue and the most abundant protein in mammals. It makes up 25–35% of the total protein content in the body. As an extremely strong fibrous molecule, it is mostly found in ligaments, tendons, skin, cartilage, bones and muscles and is vital for the strength of the skeletal system.

Hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic acid or hyaluronan is a polysaccharide of high molecular weight and belongs to the group of glycosaminoglycans. It is naturally present in almost all cells in the body. As the body ages, the production of hyaluronic acid decreases, which leads to a decrease in viscosity and an increased dilution of joint fluid.

Manganese

Manganese is a trace element found in very small amounts in the body. It participates in numerous processes in the body and contributes to the normal formation of connective tissue and the preservation of bone health.

How to use

Two (2) tablets daily with a meal. Two (2) tablets per day can be taken at once or spread over two meals throughout the day. Recommended daily doses should not be exceeded.
