The form of vitamin C found in the versatile Superba C serum is safe, stable and water-soluble sodium ascorbyl phosphate, better known as SAP (sodium ascorbyl phosphate).
SAP is a potent antioxidant effective in lightening uneven and tired complexion, and keeping skin radiantly clean.
SAP reduces the oxidative stress of the skin caused by environmental factors such as UV radiation and air pollution, leading to skin damage that accumulates over time. Accumulation of skin damage, but also reduced collagen production are manifested on the skin as signs of aging.
In addition to its antioxidant action, SAP also acts as an inhibitor of melanin, which is why it is especially important against UV damage caused by hyperpigmentation (such as melasma) and gradual pigmentation.
The real difference from classic C-serums, except for the optimal concentration of SAP, is ferulic acid and vitamin E. This well-researched and complementary combination of ingredients is an indispensable part of the best C-serums due to its exceptional antioxidant and photoprotective properties.
