Silicol gel contains silicic acid, which is a combination of the mineral substance silicon and oxygen in a colloidal (highly dispersed) and hydrated form. The advantage of Silicol gel is the large and highly reactive surface area of silicic acid.
When taken orally, it creates a protective and soothing layer on the lining of the stomach and intestines. Due to its absorbent or binding properties, colloidal silicic acid physically adsorbs or binds most irritants, harmful and toxic substances, and pathogens. This makes them harmless because they can be removed from the body through the intestines. Silicic acid can also bind gases, reduce excess acid, and bloating.
How to use
- Shake the bottle before each use.
- Take Silicol gel at least one hour before or after taking medication. For the treatment of digestive disorders, take 1 sachet (15 ml) of silicol gel three times a day, preferably before meals.
- Children under 12 years of age can use Silicol gel only on the recommendation of a doctor.
- Silicol gel can be taken undiluted or diluted with water.
After the acute symptoms have subsided, treatment with Silicol gel can be continued for a few more days. Silicol gel also relieves similar symptoms in the digestive system that may occur due to changes in diet during travel or on vacation. If the acute symptoms have not subsided after three days, consult a doctor. In case of diarrhea, it is necessary to replace lost fluids. In case of chronic diseases, treatment can last up to 4 weeks.
