The microbiome of cats and dogs fulfills vital tasks and is very similar in composition and function to the human microbiome. Among other things, the good bacteria in the animal's intestines are responsible for ensuring that the food that is ingested is used well and that indigestible and harmful substances are excreted from the body.
Gut bacteria also produce important vitamins, enzymes, antibiotic substances and hormones, as well as important short-chain fatty acids. This is particularly important in order to keep the intestinal mucosa healthy because it is responsible for supplying the cells with energy. As in humans, the intestinal mucosa itself forms an effective barrier against harmful substances and pathogenic viruses, parasites and microorganisms. In addition, up to 80% of all immune cells in the body are located in the intestines, which together with the intestinal barrier are of central importance for animal health.
Every pet owner is already familiar with their struggle with intestinal problems. They are often manifested by emptying the bowels when the animal's body tries to get rid of foreign or harmful substances as soon as possible. Then the stool is very soft to liquid, sometimes there are food residues or foreign substances in it. Diarrhea is usually a symptom of an existing problem and often occurs when the animal's intestinal flora is disturbed.
OMNi-BiOTiC CAT & DOG is an innovative probiotic supplement specially developed for cats and dogs with the aim of stabilizing the sensitive animal intestinal flora. As with products for humans, with the product OMNi-BiOTiC CAT & DOG the proven OMNi-BiOTiC quality comes first:
Two scientifically tested strains of bacteria especially suitable for cats and dogs - Enterococcus faecium DSM 10663/NCIMB 10415 and Lactobacillus acidophilus CECT 4529 – which represent intestinal flora stabilizers, are combined in OMNi-BiOTiC CAT & DOG. Its special feature: The large number of beneficial microorganisms it contains guarantees that even the smallest possible daily dose contains at least 1,25 billion highly active bacteria with the ability to multiply.
Intestinal bacteria for cats and dogs are supplemented with high-quality MOS fibers (mannanoligosaccharides), which serve as food for beneficial bacteria in the intestines of animals, and thus as the basis of life.
How to use
OMNi-BiOTiC CAT & DOG is suitable for cats and dogs of all ages. The powder is added to food (wet or dry) or to a small amount of liquid (activation time is not required), and the feeding recommendation depends on the weight of the pet:
Animals up to < 16 kg: 1 x daily ¼ measuring spoon (=1,25 x 10 on 9 CFU)
Animals from 16 to < 30 kg: 1 x daily ½ measuring spoon (=2,5 x 10 on 9 CFU)
Animals from 30 to < 40 kg: 1 x a day 1 measuring spoon (=5 x 10 on 9 CFU)
Animals over 40 kg: 1-1½ measuring spoons (=1 or 5 x 7,5 at 10 CFU) once a day
If necessary, it is recommended to use OMNi-BiOTiC CAT & DOG for at least 2-4 weeks. During long-term use, half the dose can be applied.
