Propolis defense capsules with standardized high flavonoid content. The product is double standardized (raw material and final product), and contains as much as 50 mg of flavonoids per capsule. It is standardized with the APF® factor (Active Propolis Flavonoids) which determines the concentration of flavonoids in the product. They are 100% natural and preservative-free. Propolis, which has been protecting bees from infections for millions of years with its antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal effects, has been used by people since before BC and is still one of the most proven and popular medicines in domestic pharmacies.
Propolis or beeswax is a bee product necessary for maintaining a healthy hive. It contains various plant resins that bees collect on buds and shoots of trees, enrich them with secretions from their glands and add wax to them. They need a sticky mixture to repair the honeycomb and coat the inner walls of the hive, which prevents the penetration of moisture and wind and protects the hive from microbes. They also use it to embalm larger pests that they otherwise cannot get rid of. In this way, they prevent their decomposition and thus protect themselves from infections and diseases.
