Espumisan MAX

Espumisan MAX soft capsules are used for the symptomatic treatment of gas-related gastrointestinal problems (bloating, flatulence, feeling full) or as a preparation for diagnostic tests, such as X-rays and ultrasounds, and endoscopy.

Impact

Its active substance, simethicone, dissolves gas bubbles that are in the food mixture and in the mucus of the gastrointestinal tract.

The gases that are released can then be absorbed through the intestinal wall and removed by intestinal peristalsis.

When to use

Espumisan MAX is used:

• for the symptomatic treatment of gastrointestinal complaints associated with gas, for example flatulence (flatulence) or wind and feelings of fullness
• as preparation for diagnostic tests, eg X-ray and ultrasound tests and endoscopy.

What is flatulence?

Flatulence is a feeling of stretching the intestines due to increased gas production.

Other names for this disorder are: airenterectasia, wind or gas. The most common signs of flatulence, described by patients, are: discomfort in the abdomen and a feeling of fullness, loud gurgling, and sometimes even pain.

Who gets flatulence?

Flatulence can occur in anyone, regardless of age, lifestyle or health status.

How to use

Espumisan MAX should be taken during or after a meal. The capsules are swallowed without chewing, with enough liquid (eg one glass of water).
The daily dose should not exceed 5 capsules (corresponding to 700 mg simethicone). For those over 14 years old.

• For gas-related gastrointestinal problems:
  - single dose: 1 capsule
  - daily dose: 3-5 capsules
• In preparation for diagnostic tests:
  - the day before the test: 2 capsules
  - in the morning on the day of the examination: 1 capsule

Ingredients

1 capsule, corresponding to a single dose, contains 140 mg of simethicone. Does not contain sugar.
