What is Bioapigyn ointment for pelvic muscle tone used for?

Bioapigyn vaginal ointment for pelvic muscle tone is intended to relieve the symptoms of stress, urge and mixed urinary incontinence in women over 18 years of age, especially in menopausal/postmenopausal women, characterized by involuntary leakage of urine during straining or exertion, or after sneezing or coughing; involuntary loss of urine preceded by a sudden and strong desire to urinate; involuntary leakage of urine associated with symptoms of urgency, as well as loss of urine with straining, exertion, sneezing or coughing; nocturia; urinary retention.

The device is also intended to relieve symptoms of vulvovaginal disorders caused by an increase in vaginal pH level, characterized by vaginal discharge, vaginal dryness, dyspareunia, unusual vaginal odor, irritation, burning, itching and edema in the vagina and vulva area.

How does Bioapigyn ointment for pelvic muscle tone work?

Bioapigyn vaginal ointment for pelvic muscle tone is a class IIa medical device that relieves incontinence symptoms due to the presence of ingredients that stimulate contraction/relaxation of the smooth muscles of the pelvic floor, resulting in their tightening and firming and consequently leading to the relief of all incontinence symptoms.

The ointment is also intended to alleviate the symptoms of vulvo-vaginal complaints characterized by vaginal discharge, unpleasant odor, itching, painful intercourse and edema.

The grease creates an acidic, viscous environment with low water activity that prevents the growth, adhesion and reproduction of pathogens and lowers the pH of the brooder to optimal values.

Coating, lubricating and softening the product results in the creation of a protective layer on the damaged mucous membrane that enables its recovery and prevents further irritation, relieves vaginal dryness and painful intercourse. The combination of essential oils and plant macerate also removes the unpleasant odors of various pathological conditions.

Summary of clinical trial results: Vaginal application Bioapigyn fats for pelvic muscle tone for 28 consecutive days (2,5 mL per day) resulted in a complete disappearance of vulvovaginal complaints, a 14,2% decrease in vaginal pH, a 76,9% decrease in residual urine volume, and a 54,9% decrease in the mean value of the ICIQ-UI-SF score. At the same time, the perineometric parameters that determine the strength of the pelvic floor muscles increased between 31,5 and 34,3%. The treatment resulted in significant improvement of symptoms in 74,2% of participants and cure in 25,8% of participants.

None of the patients experienced any side effects (worsening of existing symptoms, appearance of new symptoms, irritation or allergic reactions) during the treatment and follow-up period.

How to use

instruction manual : put 2,5 mL of ointment with an applicator deep into the vagina. Use before bed. Use continuously for 30 consecutive days. If necessary, use 2-3 times a week for the next 8 weeks. After each use, separate the applicator piston from the body and clean the parts with warm water and detergent. After you have washed your hands, apply a thin layer of ointment to the external genitalia with your finger.

Precautions and storage conditions: The device must not be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding and in case of hypersensitivity to any component of the product. The device must be stored in a dark place out of the reach of children at a temperature below 25 ⁰ C.
