Quercetin belongs to the group of bioflavonoids, water-soluble plant pigments. The formula contains 250 mg quercetin with the addition of 250 mg ascorbic acid, which is an ideal ratio and enables the best mutual synergistic effect.
Quercetin inhibits the release of histamine and the production of inflammatory prostaglandins and thus reduces the intensity of allergic and inflammatory reactions. It acts as a strong antioxidant, preventing the harmful effect of endogenous and exogenous free radicals, primarily on the process of lipid peroxidation, the main factor in the development of atherosclerosis. The addition of bromelain helps in splitting proteins into amino acids, and in breaking down the protein parts of viruses and bacteria.
Vitamin C is an essential ingredient for synthesis collagen (in connective tissue joints, blood veins, skin, digestive tract) of various enzymes and hormones of the adrenal gland (which explains the anti-stress effect).
