Natural Wealth Active folic acid is recommended for women of reproductive age, especially during pregnancy planning, pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Folic acid contributes to the growth of maternal tissue during pregnancy. Supplemental folic acid intake increases maternal folate levels. Low maternal folate levels are a risk factor for the development of neural tube defects in the developing fetus. The beneficial effect is achieved with a supplemental daily intake of at least 400 µg of folic acid for at least one month before and three months after conception.
